The Band 4 – The Air We Breathe by Author Marguerite Nardone Gruen (Book Review 35)

Marguerite & Chase come from two different backgrounds. Marguerite is grieving the loss of her parents, and Chase is a member of The Band 4. They meet through a not so unusual way, and that is when slowly but surely this romantic novel begins.

This book is rebelliously not for the cynical or the realistic minds. It is a fluffy version of what you really wish love to be and to find someone that loves you back in return. They are the yin and yang for each other. Marguerite & Chase felt things before it even was said or sensed things before it was even happening. They completed each other in a way that you envied and wished that this could be in real life.

If you are looking for a beautiful and warm read on cloud nine, then this book is right up your alley. There are some tensions, separations, and tiny stress related issues that come up in the relationship, however, nothing beats these two and they overcome every obstacle.

The author has great potential in adding a sequel to this story. The plot and summary for this book were all well thought out and good however, lacked a punch. The entirety of the book was splendidly written, romantically inclined and deliciously fed the mind with passion. There was not an overload of characters in the book and the plot emphasized more on the two lovebirds rather than the friends.

 

I enjoyed Marguerite & Chase having a beautiful relationship together. Each of them had a personality that could erase the faults of the other. There was just enough sexual content to make it a good read for any taste and pleasant for its reader.

I really liked how everyone had each other’s back and they supported each other in laughter and sorrow. I believe that there is more to come and maybe that was the reason for the story to lack the “Oomph” factor. The pace of the story was well written and the literary standard was satisfactory. I look forward to reading more from this author.

I recommend this book to everyone that likes a sweet love story.
