Professional Book Editing & Proofreading Services

Professional Book Editing & Proofreading Services

Thank you for considering me in this exciting journey of becoming an Author.

You have worked very hard to achieve the stage you are in right now. Choosing a quality book editor is a must before you publish your work. It is very hard to know where to go, and so I completely understand how difficult this decision can be.

To make things easier, I will first explain how the process works here:
Stage 1- Submit your work for an initial evaluation.

Stage 2-Fill in and send back the application form emailed to you.

Stage 3- Review a FREE sample of your work edited by me with a price quotation.

Once an agreement has been made between us, the work begins!

Unlike many other book editors, I am happy to talk to you (voice) as we work through your book.

How much does it cost?

Instead of charging per word, I charge per page. The price for editing your work will be submitted at Stage 3 mentioned above.

Please note that you will be receiving two rounds of editing throughout this process with no extra costs.

I offer the following services:

• Substantive/Structural editing: Clarifying or reorganizing a manuscript for content and structure
• Stylistic editing: Clarifying meaning, eliminating jargon, polishing language, and other non-mechanical line-by-line editing
• Copy editing: Editing for grammar, usage, spelling, punctuation, and other mechanics of style; checking for consistency of mechanics and for internal consistency of facts; inserting head levels and approximate placement of art; editing tables, figures, and lists; notifying the designer of any unusual production requirements
• Proofreading: Checking proofs of formatted, edited material for adherence to design and for minor, mechanical errors in copy (such as spelling mistakes or small deviations from the style sheet)

  1. Hi Jeyran, I didn’t realize you offered these services. I just finished my first book, which I’m getting ready to self-publish. I’ve already started on my next book and would be interested in possibly working together. I’m looking for someone I can partner with over the long term. How can I best contact you? Cheers!
