The Day the Sun Didn’t Rise by Robert Bossler (Book Review #1131) 

The day the sun didn’t rise is a children’s book and begins with Phoebe landing on Earth meeting Adelia in search of the sun. Phoebe is sent by the moon and is the only one courageous enough to make the trip looking for the sun. Adelia decides to help, and so the journey begins.

You get to know Phoebe, Adelia, and their animal friends as you read along. The premise is enjoyable to read, and the illustrations are colorful. I particularly liked the book because there was more dialogue than I usually see in children’s books.

The book is perfect for a gift, and the message embedded in the story was admirable. We must all look out for each other and help one another. I look forward to reading more from this author.
