John Vanderslice – Author of “Nous Nous”

I’m thrilled to have been reviewed by such an experienced and authoritative commentator as Jeyran Main. Her review of my crime novel Nous Nous is a study in carefulness, balance, concision, and independence. She judiciously weighed all the aspects of the book, and did a beautiful job, in a remarkably small space, of suggesting to the reader the experience of sitting
down and reading it. After all, so much about a novel, not just its plot and characters, but also the timing, subtext, and all-important word choice, make up that experience. Not every reviewer can get those subtleties across.
