How to Heal by Jessi Beyer (Book Review #717)

How to heal is a self-help book mentioning nine therapy methods assisting the reader in letting go of their life drama and finding peace within.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Everyone begins their journey wanting to wake up to happy days, a successful life, but when faced with trauma, everything changes. This book is about avoiding therapy and trying other methods of healing. Things like dancing, meditation, yoga, ecotherapy and other techniques are mentioned in this book.

The author is a mental health advocate, and so I truly enjoyed the fact of what she was trying to do. The stigma surrounding mental health exists, and her mission in this book, validating this issue and allowing the subject to display their struggles, was admirable.

The literature was easy to understand and organized, placed together strategically. The content inspired positive choices and behaviour. The work was carefully designed and purposely put together with delightfully detailed methods assisting the reader in attempting something new.

I recommend this book to anyone that cannot afford the higher end of therapy or wishes to try other methods before booking one. The work is suitable for people who seek self-help material.
