Dormir by Michael Golvach (Book Review #1000)

Dormir is a crime mystery about a private investigation conducted by Payden Beck; a police officer hired to find Bill Dooley’s missing niece. He initially refuses as he is tired of all the brutality and harshness of the business; however, when the 13-year-old Chloe shows up, things change for him. The case is not easy, and Payden knows that it isn’t going to end well, but he still tries his best.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

The drama begins with the Spanish Mafia, police corruption and the usual back and forth action scenes you expect for such a thriller. I have read other books from this author, so I was familiar with his writing. I was expecting the same quality, and the author did not disappoint.

I particularly enjoyed Payden’s character. His relationship with Chloe was heartfelt and enriched the story. The literature was written well and was action-packed.

I recommend this book to crime thriller readers.
