‘Equanimity’ is a non-fiction self-help book enabling the reader to understand and educate themselves on modern psychiatry and traditional ways to train the brain over mental calmness, depression, anxiety and other similar disorders.
Modern psychology and ancient philosophy are explained. I enjoyed how organized the book was. It discusses the problems we face and then provides solutions to them.
Any self-help book that promotes exploration into finding peace and real-life examples to make it even more relatable cannot go wrong.
I appreciated how much work and research went into the book. It is apparent to see the author cares about providing something worthwhile. I look forward to reading more from this author.
I recommend this book for self-improvement material.
