The Hangman is a paranormal urban fantasy story. This is book one of ‘The Hangman Universe’ series. The story begins with Kente Cromwell being murdered by his neighbours. He strikes a deal with Leechdon, the Soul Eater, a powerful demon and the new leader of the underworld, to come back seeking revenge over the people who lied to him and betrayed him. However, Leechdon has a plan of his own and plans to attack Earth by bringing four of his own allies. This creates a problem for the Hangman as he now has to pick a side.
