French Quarters by James Snyder (Book Review #618)

French Quarters is a story set in 1884. Detective Dawson is after solving a series of homicides that have his mind troubled right after his fiancé is murdered. Dawson is still recovering from the incident, and the emotions of it all do take on its toll.

The fiction thriller revolves around Dawson fighting against American law enforcement, dealing with presidential politics and corruption like no other in order to get some answers.

The thriller story combines many aspects of crime that keep the reader intrigued and interested in continuing, wanting to know more. The historical perspective of the story was another additional sweetness since it created a deeper and more meaningful storyline.

The author has produced an intriguing crime thriller, and I believe this book would interest the same kind of genre readers.
