Always and Never by Lisa Shumate (Book Review #626)

Always and never is truly a companion journal. It covers your thoughts and builds your confidence in dealing with your emotional well- being and taking control of your life. The work assists with the person when they feel that the endless changes are creating confusion and setbacks are a constant drag.

I found the book to be straightforward to understand and to follow through. There are many books similar to this genre attempting to assist with the dilemma of wanting to create a happier ‘You.’ However, by making things complicated and using twisted methods, the reader only finds themselves in a worse place. This book did not work in that way.

The author discusses and explores your relationship with the media, exercising your weaknesses, negative thoughts, and mindless routines. I particularly enjoyed the part where you could reflect on your habits. I believe we most certainly find it hard breaking those bad repetitive issues.

I would recommend this book to group studies, self-help readers and people who just feel stuck in their lives.
