Magicmals: The beginning by April Enciso (Book Review #689)

Magicmals is a fictional story written about Eva and her brother, Diego. She moves to a new city where cats have special powers, and these magical animals are called Magicmals. She discovers this when she brings a new kitten home. Buildings start to disappear, and strange things begin to happen, causing this supernatural adventure to exuberate into a fascinating story.

Animals talk, and this was an exciting notion for me. As the reader, I found their personalities and characters to add an interesting formula to the plot. The material was suitable for most ages, and that broadens the audience to many readers.

As an animal lover, I believe everything about the story was fascinating. Cat lovers and people who like to read stories about cats would also find this book appealing.

Eva’s personality blended very well with the plot, and her character development was superbly executed. I often enjoy female protagonists leading the role of a story, specially when it comes to animals and their relationship with humans.

I would recommend this story to anyone who likes to read stories about cats having superpowers.
