Worry Less, Arrive Sooner: Dr. Freud Meets Dr. Seuss by Bette Pounds, LCSW (Book Review #799)

Worry less, arrive sooner, is a rhythmic, poetic book written in a lyrical format encouraging the reader to slow down and reflect on the issues that matter in life and often get neglected. The book also mentions some of the emotional and psychological challenges faced by adults across the world.

The book contains illustrations and parts where the reader wonders. The book is not long, and it is easy to read and follow through. I particularly enjoyed the ‘Managing Feelings’ part. I appreciated how the author mentions how valuable words are and how they can affect others. There are helpful suggestions for coping with anger, sadness, and worry and get to a serene place where we can find our equilibrium and live the life we’ve always wanted.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

The work suits a realistic approach to mental and psychological issues, and for that, I recommend it as a self-help book. It had a therapeutic nature to it, and that’s what I found different from other self-help books.

The author has the potential to create well-written books like this one, and I look forward to reading more from her.
