Book Magazine – Publishing – Editing
The spirit of laughter is a fictional story about a boy trapped in a school forced to paint 92 portraits of his classmates on a giant wall surrounding his school. This Herculean task is given to him and has to be finished in just three weeks. Perfection is demanded, and so the pressure is on.
Francisco’s personality was entirely created for this story. As he learns more and more about the students’ lives, he understands what the power of laughter can possess and hence knows even to use that power against his enemy.
The book was not very long but was still enjoyable to read. The magical realism book teaches you not to see things as they are but to get to know them and understand them. Once Francisco cared enough to explore the possibility, he managed to grow and defeat what was torturing him.
The cover design of the book complemented the content of the story. The literature was written well and was steadily paced. I enjoyed the book
I recommend this story to people who like to read magical realism.
