Orange City by Lee Matthew Goldberg (Book Review #1001)

Orange city is a dystopian thriller story about a hidden city giving a second chance at life. However, there is a catch; you can never leave. The place is ruled by a giant spider look-alike man that everyone is afraid of. Imagine a community of people who have had a financial crisis, criminal history, and have committed other crimes, all living in a place called Orange City, trapped and committed to working for its ruler.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

The post-apocalyptic science fiction story does not end there. The story introduces Graham, our protagonist testing a product named ‘Pow’. Unfortunately, the drink has some side effects, and Graham’s troubles begin. He becomes addicted.

What I particularly enjoyed about the storyline was how the characters behaved out of desperation. It made me think, what one would do if they were pressured enough to act out of their norm.

This is book one of its series, so I was looking for a foundation, back story and a lot of character development. The author did not disappoint.

I look forward to reading more from this author and recommend this book to those who like to read novel storylines.
