The Balance of Fear by Diana C. Hall (Book Review #1070)

The balance of fear is a psychological fiction book. It is a compelling and emotionally charged story about Elizabeth Stanton. She has run away to Seattle so that she can be an art teacher. Life seems to be going her way until she finds a dead body in the theatre. Things then turn from calm to chaos as Elizabeth investigates the reason and truth behind Alyson’s death.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

The pace of the story was steady, and the scenes kept the reader intrigued. Subject matters like PTSD, violence, abuse, race, and much more were discussed in the novel. I enjoyed Elizabeth’s character. Her personality meshed well with the storyline.

The surprise killer added more thrill to the premise, and as the pace was steady, it increased the tension for its reveal.

I recommend this book to fiction thriller readers.
