The Reunion by Gary Wells (Book Review #1120)

Advertisements

The reunion is a historical fiction written about Nick arriving at his 50th class high school reunion, remembering everything. His intention at first is just to come, have a drink and keep to himself, but that is not what happens.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

He particularly remembers a girl and how strongly he felt about her. The story is written well and gets you thinking and placing your own experience.

The literature is witty and fun. This keeps you intrigued, wanting to read along. Although this is a story, it felt like a memoir, and I enjoyed this aspect of the book.

I predominantly loved the parts where Nick would talk to himself. The self-reflections and chatter were entertaining. I do want to comment

I recommend this book to historical fiction lovers.
