Unfurling is a mystery romance and begins with Mandira Sharma, a recent medical graduate who isn’t very much happy about her job and has no sense of purpose. As things progress in the story, Mandy meets Latika, and a beautiful friendship is shaped between them. Mandy finally feels happiness, but tragedy strikes, and Latika is lost. Mandy becomes a suspect, and she has to work with the officials to prove her innocence.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

As much as the story pulled me together, it also made me think. How can an incident or accident bring so much clarity to someone’s perspective on life? The story discusses subject matters like depression, loneliness, and mental health matters. Who cannot relate to this?

The protagonist’s character, in particular, was written with precision. Her ways and behavior towards certain feelings and scenes were spot on. She was very relatable, and it was easy to feel for her.

I must also comment on the cover. I really enjoyed the colors and thought that was put into making it. I recommend this book to anyone who likes to read a thrilling story filled with mystery and romance.
