Simon’s Search for the Scary Dragon by Stephen G. Bowling (Book Review #1162)

Simon’s Search for the Scary Dragon is a children’s book about Simon, a young bird hearing about rumors that a scary dragon, flies around the barn. He is determined to find him, so the adventure begins with his barnyard friends.

As much as I loved the storyline, the illustrations and colorful explanations were even more beautiful to observe. This is a wonderful children’s book, and if you are a parent looking for an enjoyable book to read to your child, you will enjoy having this one.

I particularly liked the owl and the message the story gave. People may be scary, or things could be different, but only because we don’t know them that well. If we provide them with a chance and find the courage to come forward, maybe what we heard about them was wrong after all.

I recommend this book to those looking for children’s animal farm books.
