DESTINY LIVES ON FAIRHAVEN STREET BY C.J. HUDSON (Book Review #1194)

Destiny lives on Fairhaven street is book one of its series. It is a nonfiction memoir written about love and how powerful it can be. It all begins with the author and his childhood. Biographies typically start this way, but what was different was how an abused boy turned into a teen and gained enough confidence to love.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

You are easily invited into C.J.’s life and understand his personality and nature from early on. He falls in love when he is young and promises to come for her when he is older. I found the memoir to be written well and enjoyable to read.

What stands out here is the honesty. I believe it is vital for memoirs to present a true retelling of events not just for its authenticity but also for it to be felt, and with this book, you truly do feel.

I recommend this book to those who like to read a love story and enjoy memoirs.
