The aging machine is a young adult story about John and Taylor, two 15-year-olds living in a state-run care facility, both accused of a murder they never conducted and sentenced to 60 years of life in prison.

Dr. Scott, who is the inventor of a prototype of the aging machine, has the two kids tested, causing them to age one year every second. While the now 75-year-old teenagers investigate the reason behind all of this, the story shapes up to be one thrilling ride.
I particularly enjoyed Amy Wilson, a 26-year-old reporter who believed in the teenager’s story. The concept of two kids in the body of a 75-year-old was also intriguing to me. I admired how the author navigated the concept and made sure the dialogue and behavior represented the real age rather than the one given to them.
I found the story to be novel, and for that, I appreciate its flow and introduction. I recommend this book to those who like to read thrilling storylines and enjoy young adult fiction.
