Twisted Love by Wally Runnels (Book Review #1250)

Twisted love is an occult horror story about Dr. Julietta, an archaeologist who discovers a chamber containing the remains of a pair of lovers in an excavation while she is in Mexico City. The finding seems to be the core of the story, and so you are hooked on reading more, trying to figure out what’s going to happen yet.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

While the story contains graphic violence and sexual scenes, it also embodies horrors, murders, and quite an interesting flow of the narrative. You also get to read about Aztec people and meet Rocky, a disabled Marine Sergeant who has lost his arm in Macao working for the CIA.

This is a romance story, and the interactions between Julietta and Rocky were intriguing to read. An abuser becoming a lover wasn’t something I predicted.

I recommend this book to those who like to read romance and horror stories.
