Where the Butterflies Sleep by Steve Carey-Walton (Book Review #1473)

‘Where the Butterflies Sleep’ is a literary fiction about Marigold Barton and her struggle to get what she deems rightfully hers, the inheritance of her wealthy husband, Todd.

Todd dies, and Marigold believes that the long, loveless marriage is over and she is to be rewarded with a much better life. However, things worsen, and the battle begins to win the inheritance.

The fictional tale is filled with scene after scene drama. The author demonstrates a well-written story with many descriptions and characters that are each to their own and individually stand out.

You cannot help but feel bad for Marigold, but at the same time, something about her personality always keeps you on the edge. You are never sure if she is being truthful. I liked the suspense.

I recommend this book to fiction readers.
