‘Ehud and the Great Walls of’ is a historical fiction set in 1600 BC. The story begins with Ehud, a penniless man with potential, and his honesty works well for him. In a world where the Israelites have invaded the Promised Land, the story is told behind the walls of Jericho and introduces you to the story of survival and possibilities.
When Ehud realizes that his entire family is wiped out after returning from herding goats, he has no other choice but to join General Joshua’s army and assist in the raids. His journey begins there as he faces many obstacles and missions, including confronting his enemies and being forced into a duel to death.
Ehud’s personality and growth act as a testimony to this story. His character is delightful to read, and as you follow his path, you are increasingly attached to his endeavour.
The literature and how things are described also assist in helping the reader envision the scenes. This creates a very enjoyable story to read.
I recommend this book to those who enjoy historical fiction.
