Fractured: Tales of Flame and Fury by Charlotte Langtree (Book Review #1576)

‘Fractured’ is a fantasy collection containing eight stories with various characters and plotlines.

What stands out in this book is the author’s ability to introduce great sci-fi stories in such a short amount of time and carry the entire concept through without losing the reader’s interest.

I particularly enjoyed the flow. Each story has an emotional connection and pull. The literature is descriptive and written well. I enjoyed reading this book and the stories. I particularly enjoyed Him, Her, and Lavender Lylah.

Lylah is a mother with her daughter who is worried about the things that are happening near the docks. People are dying, and she asks for help discovering what’s happening. The mystery behind the no-name man is then revealed, increasing the mystery and intensity of the story.

The stories’ pace is steady, which adds to the enjoyment of the read. I recommend this book.
