Our Man in Mbabane: A Novel Based on a True Story by K. E. Karl (Book Review #1590)

‘Our Man in Mbabane’ is a historical fiction set in 1977 and begins with Frank George. He has a government job during the week but is also an agent, and because of this, his life may look comfortable and ordinary. However, his missions are filled with danger and excitement.

When Frank meets Terence, things change, and the dynamic of the tale changes to a romantic one. It is intriguing to find Frank’s demeanor change and develop as the story progresses.

The tale is written with much care and has a nice flow to it. The author has designed an intriguing book cover, too. The exterior reflected the interior’s rich content.

The other thing that stood out for me was the historical references and the world described. I recommend this book to historical fiction fans.
