The Sapien Empire by Nathan Ogloff (Book Review #1624)

‘The Sapien Empire’ is a post-apocalyptic book filled with science fiction elements. Everything begins with Shindo Dacan, who is living in a terrifying futuristic world as an engineer, and his attempt to create a world that isn’t a wasteland of death and destruction.

The novel induces the component of wonder, and for that, it is an intriguing read. It is apparent the work is well-researched and written. There are scenes that are described very well and subject matters discussed, which sync and mesh the premise well together.

There is a sequel to this book, so not everything is given closure for the readers, yet you are satisfied with the ending. The characters are well-created and work well together; however, there isn’t much growth besides a few of them. This enabled the reader to sustain a solid connection with the characters and a positive impression.

I recommend this book to fantasy readers and those who enjoy futuristic storylines.
