‘Playing With Fire’ is a mystery fiction and the third book of its series. If you haven’t read this book from the start, I advise you to. Carrie is an English tourist and is in Sicily. The story takes on a different level when she meets Enzo. He is charismatic, exciting and deliciously engaging, but something about him does not add up.

When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
When I was a kid, I loved watching movies (still do). I started coming up with short stories back then and drawing them out on paper, storyboard style. Since then, I knew I loved the idea of telling a story.
When I was a teenager, I took a shot at writing my first screenplay. As you might expect from a high-school kid, it was not made into a movie. But I really liked building a feature-length story.
A few years later, I wrote my first novel in my twenties.

When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
I began writing independently of schoolwork when I was nine. On the one hand, I scribbled rhyming poems in pencil on the cardboard that came with my father’s laundered shirts. On the other hand, I wrote essays on the structure and functions of the human body. By the end of that year, I had drafted enough material for an illustrated manuscript on human anatomy and physiology. This of course was never published, but it did anticipate my future career as a physician.
