The Art and Science of Meditation by Lisa Erickson (Bok Review #926)

Advertisements

The art and science of meditation is a self-help book geared to help you deepen and personalize your practice. The author aims to overcome challenges and enhance human spirituality by integrating meditation techniques to create an ideal world for the reader. Scientific research has proven this technique, and although there are obstacles and triumphs in everyone’s life, we can divert and exercise a better way of living by practicing its methods.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

I prominently enjoyed this book because it did not solely depend on modern and contemporary techniques. It also geared its methods by using history and sources that have proven to work in the past.

The literature is easy to read and understand. This mattered since sometimes the aim is to help the reader; however, the content is written to lose interest and just simply don’t understand what you are meant to do. I appreciate this notion that everything was well organized and well explained.

I recommend this book to anyone looking to better their lives, self-help readers, and those looking to meditate.

The sky worshipers is a military fiction story setting us back to Genghis Khan, the Mongol leader whose ambition was to take over the world. The in-depth novel represents the 13th center world, and his unforgettable story of the survival of women would have been. The narrative is told through the eyes of three princesses and truly embarks on a story worth reading.

House on Fire: How to Prevent Conflict and “Arsonist” Behaviors from Burning Down Your Company by Thomas Brown (Book Review #952)

Advertisements

House on fire is a well-written guidebook for those in management at executive and board levels, and it teachers them how to disparage conflict and prevent it from happening.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

The literature is written well and is helpful for anyone, not just business owners. It is filled with self-assessments and presented with methodologies that actually work. The book is perfect for business planning, conflict resolution, and mediation strategies. This should also be a stepping stone for someone who wants to start a business.

In this book, Thomas aims to present a compelling case for stopping what he calls the “arsonist personalities” in senior management and on the board.

Since the author is the founder and CEO of his own company and successfully manages boards of directors, inventors, and executives, his knowledge is definitely worth having. He knows what he is talking about with a highly well-educated background.

I think what stood out for me was how organized everything was laid out. It was well planned, illustrated, and taught. The writing style was educational and possessed a colloquial tone to it.

I recommend this book to anyone who into strategic business planning.
