The book is a superbly organized and covers Methadone in a thorough way. From phases of treatments, trauma, risks, supports, and nutrition, the author makes sure that nothing is left out for the reader.
What I particularly enjoyed about the book was the segment involving loved ones in treatments. I believe that’s what made the book stand out and different from other medical books. This made it personal and added emotional human depth as well as just mentioning the science behind everything.
Just like everything else, there were myths and facts that were also mentioned in the book. It was apparent that the author knew what he was talking about. The literature was professionally written but still easy to understand.
I believe anyone practicing as a mental health professional would find this book useful.
