The Two Hands of The King by Wayne Mckinstry (Book Review #685)

The two hands of the king is a historical fantasy story written about Sir Donald and Lord Overton, who fight over King Philp. Things take a change when evil attacks the lands. The two then need to work together to defend their existence and, at the same work, put aside their disagreements.

The tale was humorous as well as it had a young genre vibe to it. The pace of the story was steady, and its plot continued to keep the reader intrigued. At times, I felt as though I wanted Sir Donald and Lord Overton to clash more, just to increase depth and interactivity, however, I was not sure if that was going to over-elaborate the story.

 

Potent warriors, wizards, and evil creates played big roles in this fantasy world, and the author used much necessary descriptive literature to explain the scenes and storyline. I look forward to reading more from this author, as I did like the old style of writing.

 

I would recommend this book to people who like to read historical stories, wizards and fantasy style storylines.
