A Girl’s Guide to Poker by Amanda Botfeld (Book Review #961)

A Girl’s guide to poker is a self-help poker cheat sheet book. The aim is to learn everything from bluffing, check-raising, and snap calling. The author also teaches you how to play, so it works for anyone who likes this game.

What I found most interesting about the book was that it was novel and it geared towards woman seeking to turntables. I wasn’t sure why gender mattered? Maybe because men tend to play this game more often. Either way, I enjoyed it.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

The other attention-grabbing part of the book was the graphics and jokes. If you are a visual learner and find it easier to remember things that way, this book is for you. The work discusses the history of poker and also provides you the confidence to play.

I appreciated the attentiveness of the author and the willingness to share her experience in this game. I definitely learned a lot from the book.

I recommend this book to anyone interested in learning how to play poker.
