Ahead of the curve by Mabel Hsin, M.D. (Book Review 974)

Ahead of the curve is a self-help book teaching us how to cope with COVID-19 and live a happier life. The author uses her findings to teach us control over the mind, spirit, and body.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

The literature is not like the normal narrative. Conversations and dialogues are separated into boxes and change in a sequence of colors. The book has case studies in each section and then questions to ponder at the end. It is beneficial in the time and era we are in, especially with COVID-19. It discusses different scenarios for different living conditions to cover most aspects of what could be a helpful guide.

I thought the approach was unique and very organized. After nine reflections, you also get sections to develop your own. I particularly enjoyed the part where it spoke about anxiety and how things around us cannot consistently be controlled.

I recommend this book to anyone who wants to live a calmer life while dealing with COVID-19 restrictions and problems.
