Ekleipsis by Tamel Wino (Book Review #986)

Ekleipsis is a collection of short stories embodying the thought of what happens when we give in to the darkness?

Rating: 5 out of 5.

I want to begin with the book cover. Wow. I was so intrigued and felt like staring at it for a while. I could reflect on so many elements by just looking at the concept behind the artwork. I really liked it.

How far were you willing to go just to follow your instinct? The stories were dark, twisted, and complex. I enjoyed its approach and felt the five stories were all very well put together.

I particularly enjoyed how the story brushed upon psychological matters, PTSD, anger management, and addiction. Even though it is hard to have plot development and character build-up for short stories, the author managed to accomplish that.

I recommend this book to short story fans and those who like to think outside the box.
