The Letter Carrier by L.C. Lewis (Book Review #1333)

The Letter Carrier is a beautiful war fiction story based on what a family endures after the Nazi soldiers invade their small village and live in their home. Michelle is a beautiful 12-year-old at the time when this happens and suffers so much hardship alongside her family.

As you read along, you feel and envision every scene. The story is written well and is heartfelt. The characters and the descriptive telling make you feel every terror, every unfairness and helplessness they feel, but above all, how hopeful you must force yourself to be just to survive.

The cover design of the book is well thought out. It represents the content inside. This is a beautiful tale, and I recommend it to those interested in WWII readers.
