Under My Bed and Other Essays’ by Jody Keisner (Book Review #1367)

‘Under My Bed and Other Essays is a memoir that details the author’s childhood, covering many emotional and raw experiences.

Being adopted as an infant and raised by an abusive mother and father, it is not long before Jody begins to deal with her fears; one is to constantly have the urge to look under her bed for monsters.

The book is written in the form of essays and follows a significant amount of care and detailed encounters. Above all, the content is carefully put together, and you can easily connect with her thoughts and feelings.

I also enjoyed how everything was presented in its entirety. I look forward to reading more from this author. I recommend this book to memoir readers.
