The Land of the Young by Will Robinson (Book Review #1434)

‘The Land of the Young’ is a fantasy story geared towards teen and young adult readers. It begins with Bridget Houlihan and her journey trying to survive the Irish Famine of the 1840s. As she vows to protect her family and to provide for them, things don’t pan out as well as she wants, and the journey becomes an interesting multicultural tale.

As you read along, besides the attractive cover design for the book, you notice how elementary the story flows. The concept of the storyline is attractive, and its historical aspect is referenced well.

The author has made a very compelling story. The characters and world-building stand out. I recommend this book to those who like fantasy stories and action based on adventure.
