After They Came by Dan Harary (Book Review #1464)

‘After They Came’ is a science fiction book about Jonathan Tickerman, who has lost everything and is very alone. After reaching 70, he decides to take his life by drowning. Still, instead, he becomes the wonder man after he is chosen by the interdimensional star system appears and picks him as their ambassador.

The story then picks up, showing how Jonathan’s life instantly changes. That is when you notice character growth, world-building and a very much interesting concept of a storyline.

If you are into aliens and invasion stories, this is for you. I enjoyed reading how Jonathan embraced his challenges and how the story brought a futuristic vision at hand.

I recommend this book to sci-fi readers.
