A Wizard’s Dream by Hrvoje Butković (Book Review #1493)

‘A Wizard’s Dream’ is an epic fantasy that begins with Asja, a young girl raised by dwarves who wishes to learn how to become a mage. She possesses powers that make others fear her, but this does not stop her. Her journey becomes learning magic from a wizard who lives far, far away.

As you get to know Asja, you also learn how her character grows. She finds it hard to trust people in her world. Her powers are enjoyable to read, and as the pace of the story is steady, you also get to fall into its descriptive nature.

I admired how the layout was easy to follow and not too complex. This added to the enjoyment of its premise. Most epic fantasy stories are always crowded with sideline storylines you barely get closure from. The author did a good job keeping it clean.

I recommend this book to fantasy readers.
