A Purely Wrong Story by Laurel Burns (Book Review #1626)

‘A Purely Wrong Story’ is a self-help book written with the intention of looking at life from a different perspective. You may sit and think that life has taken your choices away, and you feel that shame has blinded you. But this book enlightens you to think otherwise. This isn’t just a healing book but mostly an understanding of the nature of shame.

The author begins to touch on the topic with a head-on approach. There is a spiritual side to the book, which I found endearing. The author mentions how we choose to surrender our life’s choices to God’s hand.

The book is written well. It is organized and well put together. I particularly enjoyed how the chapters were synced, and all completed one another.

I recommend this book to those who like thought-provoking reads and self-help material.

  1. All right, this one caught my attention. I like neither the concepts of “shame,” the obligation of healing, nor the need for any need for the supernatural, but some interesting core idea I should get. An excellent review. I’ll buy one.
