Hello Loyal Followers,
I’m Mark Morrison, first-time author of an outstanding young adult fantasy action adventure titled TwoSpells. It’s a fantastically magical tale involving teenage American twins, Sarah and Jon, neither having a clue as to what they really are, Irregulars. They find out that they’re heirs to an ancient magical realm built around an enchanted library created for their special kind in the distant country of Wales. The books within its shelves can transport a reader to anywhere or anytime the author has written. The children quickly learn that traveling the uncharted inner-sanctums of multidimensional worlds may not be the safest nor wisest of choices.
I’m from a teeny-tiny town in Ohio called Salem. Not much seemed to happen there but the passage of the four seasons. Fortunately for me our large family, twelve counting the two dogs, packed up and moved to Florida when I was a young boy. Wow! Talk about a cultural change. I could best describe it as; shock and awe! To our corn-fed country-bumpkin family it was multiculturalism on steroids, set in a sunny vacation setting.
I’m neither an optimist nor a pessimist? An optimist believes the glass to be half-full. A pessimist believes it to be half-empty. I’ve decided on a third category, realist. I’ve always believed the glass was twice as big as it should have been, therefore it’s actually full. As a shrewd realist and storyteller, I carry a distinctive writing advantage. I can comfortably twist and distort the finite laws of physics into my own freakish circular logic.
Now my ultimate dream is to escort my readers into thoroughly entertaining fantasy worlds by unlocking previously secretive realities kept hidden under the mysterious guise of two-dimensional-ism.
I’d like to pass on a few powerful words of wisdom before I depart. These three simple words are directly from my father’s vast treasure trove of wisdom. Whether you ascribe to be a writer or any choice of vocation or hobby for that matter; make a difference. He believed life was far to short to leave your wishes or dreams on the table unchallenged. Regrets have a nasty way of strangling old-timers who perpetually reminisce about their life’s too few achievements.
Thanks so much for listening and I truly hope you’ll read and enjoy my first born novel as much as I enjoyed creating it. There will be many many more to come if I’m blessed to living long enough!
