Bad Luck Zach by Clifton Kenny (Book Review #870)

Bad luck Zach is an action-adventure about a young boy who finds himself not belonging to his environment. He is just too different

The story touches upon middle-grade drama, their interactions, being accepted and also points out the peer pressure they are under. Bullying is another aspect of the discussion, and the entire novel takes you back to when you were young and dealt with these things at that age.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

I enjoyed the fact that the story was told in the first-person narrative. I believe this was a smart move as it came straight from the protagonist and made the reader empathize more with his feelings.

Although the story is geared for the middle-grade audience it was still a pleasant read. The novel possessed a certain depth, and that made it enjoyable to read. The literature was written well and the pace of the story was steady keeping the reader intrigued for wanting to read on. I wasn’t a big fan of the cover.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes action adventure fiction stories.
