A Road to Redemption by Mark F. Geatches (Book Review #877)

A road to redemption is a dystopian/YA novel story that begins with Dictator Joseph Stoner, who has transformed the once-beloved America into a socialist utopia. A wave of destruction has left America unrecognizable. Zammi, Sydney, and Straz take it upon themselves to find a way to overthrow the President.

What made this book stand out and different from others was its characters, character development, and the interactive scenes it possessed. As a young adult story, it embodied social commentaries and sprinkled young adults’ notion of wanting to make a difference.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

The pace of the story was fast, and the descriptive writing kept the reader intrigued. The story aims to return America to a free nation with strong values and democracy and to achieve that, you get to read a fascinating story.

Due to the nature of the characters, humor was also another subtle addition to the narrative. The work was original, and I look forward to reading more from this author.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes to read dystopian material and young adult readers who like an adventure.
