The Adventures of Dogg Girl and Sidekick by Jennifer deBie (Book Review #980)

The adventures of Dogg girl is a superhero sci-fi story filled with fantasy and adventure. The story begins with Karissa Dogg living in a city where superheroes exist. She is an intelligent character living her life away from drama. Kary is a kickboxer and is a caged animal but tries to keep a balanced life. When a sidekick superhero named, Aspect enters life, things change. The world of Commonland is exposed.

I particularly enjoyed the world described. Norms and supers were an interesting concept. Kary’s personality as a lead female protagonist pulled the story together. The pace of the story was steady and possessed a dynamic of action and adventure.

The author has created a good story and based on the characters, side storylines, and descriptive writing, it was apparent to notice how the book could have become a series. I look forward to reading more from this author.
