The Last Century by Jakub Filo (Book Review #1100)

The last century is a dystopian science fiction set in 2076. The world is in a climate crisis. Part of the planet is uninhabitable, and what remains is filled with a small amount of civilization fighting for resources.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

I noticed the story was told in three-time frames—this added depth and meaning to the storyline. The literature was descriptive and provided enough foundation for book one of its series. The story was fast-paced, and the premise was filled with science fiction.

When there are sequels to a storyline, they need to provide parallel narratives to enable further additions. This was delightfully done, and so the ending did provide closure but still left enough wanting more.

I recommend this book to those who like post-apocalyptic sci-fi stories.

  1. Review #1,100! The author needs to send Review Tales an extra thank-you for the good fortune of hitting that milestone. The story line sounds interesting also, and the book cover is great. Compliments!
