Have You Heard the Sound of Your Own Voice is a memoir telling you the struggles and triumphs of a young woman dealing with depression, suicide, and embracing all that in order to battle the voice in her head.

The story is beautifully written and truly describes the greatest and the worst parts of the author’s life. We all have a voice in our heads, and they don’t seem to always bring the best out of us. These thoughts don’t also talk truth to us, so we get to read a thoughtful memoir here.

The work is not just a story but also reveals ways and paths and discusses definitions enabling the reader to deeply be involved in what depression means and how it affects the human body and mind. I enjoyed reading this book because it was honest and informative.

I recommend this book to self-help readers, those who deal with depression or want to understand it and memoir fans.
