Airy Nothing by Clarissa Pattern (Book Review #1279)

Airy Nothing is a young adult fictional tale about a boy named John who has the ability to see things others cannot. When he decides to run away to London, he does not foresee all that will happen to him, meeting Black Jack as one of them. Living in the big city does not seem all that he thought it would be either, but Black Jack makes it different for him.

The magical story is filled with romance, friendship, and a lot of exciting descriptive scenes. The pace of the story is fast, and so you are consistently filled with various twists and turns, keeping you intrigued.

I particularly enjoyed how John’s personality changed throughout the story. It didn’t just develop, but it also was more relatable and young for the teen audience.

I recommend this book to teen and adult fiction readers.
