Big Shot by Kirsten Weiss (Book Review #1335)

‘Big Shot’ is a murder mystery story and the first of its series. The story begins with Alice and her pursuit that does not go well. To run away from all the heat, she retreats to her hometown in Nevada, but trouble follows her, and she has another hurdle to handle.

The story is intense, and while it covers the main plotline, it also introduces content that can follow into the next book. It ends by providing enough closure to satisfy the reader but also leaves some for the wonderous mind.

The concept was novel and enjoyable to read. Alice’s personality is perfect for the drama. The sideline characters meshed well with Alice, bringing an excellent dynamic. I recommend this book to mystery readers.
