A HAPPY GHOST BY KARL KRISTIAN FLORES (Book Review #1548)

‘A HAPPY GHOST’ is a beautiful novel written about a young man, Andrei, a chronically depressed hotel clerk who is struggling to make sense of the world. He pretends to be who he isn’t just to run away from who he really is or how his life truly is run, but when he meets Andrei, a beautiful actress, his life changes.

The literature contains much emotion, deep thoughts, and much reflection on the protagonist while keeping it humorous and exciting to read. I believe this brought out the author’s skillful writing ability. It demonstrated how one can be struggling to the core and yet remain hopeful that things could turn out for the better.

I wasn’t a big fan of the sex scenes, but it still normalized Andrei’s personality, so I was okay with that. The constant wanting to know what he’s going to do next made it intriguing.

I recommend this book to those who like to read fictional tales.
