17 Planets – The Captain by A. R. Alexander (Book Review #1633)

‘17 Planets – The Captain’ is a science fiction story filled with dystopian elements set three thousand years from now, where there are colonies of humans who have moved from Earth and exist orbiting three different star systems.

These 17 colonized planets all have different styles of government. Our protagonist, Elizabeth, is a strong-willed woman who is working secretly against the corporation and works to stop them from controlling people through the Aina, a device placed on the forehead at birth to prevent you from the types of drugs introduced by the corporation themselves.

The conflict and drama are genuinely thought-provoking. I found the premise novel in its approach, which added to the enjoyment of the read.

The literature is written well. The scenes are descriptive and exciting. I recommend this book to those who like to read futuristic-style stories.
