#WeAreManyWomen: Many Voices by Vali Hawkins Mitchell (Book Review #602)

We are many women is a self-help book written by Dr. Hawkins empowering woman to listen to their instincts and to believe in themselves. She believes that women are mostly subdued to the situation they are enforced in.

The author believes that many of our decisions as a woman have been wrong due to the fact that we have instead decided to what’s been flashed at us. The book offers 52 reflections of typical voices that are familiar to a woman and explains how each one works within ourselves. She believes that having choices eliminates victimhood.

The literature is easy to read and to understand. I particularly enjoyed reading about the different voices. The book is defiantly written in such a way where you sit and ponder about your behavior and realize some of the mistakes you have made or could have prevented had you read and knew all this beforehand.

It is straightforward to act on and listen to the voices that make you liked by everyone and is safe; however, are those decisions made based on your own desire or someone else’s?

I recommend this book to self-help readers, psychology majors, and women who wish to learn more about themselves.
